In general, I like to make things and solve complex problems. Some primary areas of interest include creating useful high-quality products, developing educational experiences, and exploring innovations in the fields of green design, physical user interface design and information technology.

Current activities include:

• Configuring low-power (sub 10-watt) personal computers to be fast, effective machines using Linux and other Open-Source software
• Webmaster for Engineers Without Borders, San Francisco Professionals chapter
• Volunteering on a project involving the development of educational and medical infrastructure in rural Haiti (Engineers Without Borders)
• Amateur radio, call sign: KI6BAI

I'm now engaged in consulting work, and am available for contract or permanent employment positions.
